What Are You Throwing Away?

What do you need to dispose of? Are you throwing away household junk, old furniture, knickknacks and such? Or do you have heavier debris such as dirt and concrete? What you’re disposing of will not only effect the price you pay, but the availability of your rental. Letting your project managers know exactly what you’re throwing away will help them get you out the correct dumpster for your debris. If you don’t let them know what you’re throwing away, and they send out a dumpster not knowing you’re about to fill it with loads of dirt or concrete, you may end up paying extra.

How Much Waste Do You Have?

Another important factor you need to make your project manager aware of is how much waste you need to dispose. If you have multiple rooms filled with stuff you need to get rid of, you’ll need a 20 or 30 yard container. Doing home repairs, remodeling and general construction, you’ll most likely need a 30 or 40 yard container. If you’re working on a project at a construction site and will need the dumpster for longer than the usual 7 days, you’ll definitely need a 40 yard container. If you’re unsure about what size you need, let your project manager know how much debris you have and they will help you make an educated decision.

How Long Do You Need It?

One of the most important things you need to make your project manager aware of, is how long you’ll need the dumpster. Most rentals go out for 7-10 days, if you need it for less than the provided 7 days it will not make your price cheaper. If you need your rental for longer than 7-10 days, you will end up getting charged more. If you’re looking for a 30 day dumpster rental, your price will change. The reason behind this is due to the need for our dumpsters, if we send one out for 30 days, we can potentially lose out on another 3 jobs.

Finally, let your project manager know where you’ll need the dumpster to be delivered. Give them your basic information including name, address, email, and payment information. Once you have finished giving them all of the necessary information, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and wait for it to arrive. You may request to be placed on the AM schedule, which means the dumpster will be dropped off anytime between 9 AM and noon. The PM schedule runs from noon to 5 PM. Please remember, delivery times are strived for and not guaranteed, as this is the trucking industry.
